Examined Doctrine

How to cite

The corpus changes: positions get quoted, tiers get raised, mistakes get fixed. A citation that points only at a live URL therefore points at something that may no longer say what you read. Every page here can be cited against a frozen edition instead.

Current edition

2026-07 — the live site always reflects the current edition. Its frozen copy lives under /editions/2026-07/ and does not change once published.

Form

"John Calvin on the Lord's Supper", Examined Doctrine, 2026-07 edition, https://examineddoctrine.com/position/calvin/lords-supper (archived at https://examineddoctrine.com/editions/2026-07/position/calvin/lords-supper).

Each page's "cite this" control fills this in for you.

Editions

No edition has been frozen yet. The first release will appear here, and every release after it, permanently.

Quoting the quotations

Where a page shows a verbatim quotation, cite the original work, not this site — the attribution under each quotation names it. Cite Examined Doctrine for the comparison, the sourcing tier and the reading, which are this project's own work.
