Council of Chalcedon on Baptism

451 · ECUMENICAL COUNCIL · DOCUMENT, NOT A PERSON
NOT LOCATED IN A SOURCENO POSITION FOUND
NO STANCE — AND WHY

No position located on this map

Searched in the sources read for this figure and not found. A limit of the reading rather than a claim about the figure — a source not yet read could settle it.

THE POSITION

Not located in the doctrinal act. The Definition does not treat baptism, and canon 1, the only canon read for this map, simply ratifies the canons of previous synods. Chalcedon's baptismal theology is therefore Nicaea's and Constantinople's by ratification rather than anything it states itself.
