No position located in this corpus

Searched in the sources read for this figure and not found. A limit of the reading rather than a claim about the figure — a source not yet read could settle it.

THE POSITION

No position located in this document, and the silence is the notable thing about it. Neither election nor predestination appears anywhere in fifteen sections, and the basis on which God chooses is never stated. The doctrine of sin is as strong as any Reformed confession — man is utterly incapable of returning to God apart from a special work of grace — and salvation is by grace alone through faith alone, yet the confession never crosses from inability to election.

WHY THERE IS NO QUOTATIONA contemporary confession rather than a person, filed as a document alongside Westminster and the 1689 for the same reason: it states what it states, and no individual has to be credited with holding it. It was read in full at coe22.com/about on 2026-08-24, where fifteen sections sit inside a collapsed accordion — the /beliefs/ URL returns 404 and only a staging-site copy is indexed by search engines, so the accordion is the only public canonical text found. Ten of eighteen positions are quoted from it. Eight are blank, and the blanks are not evenly boring: election is absent from a confession whose doctrine of sin is thoroughly Reformed, and the eschatological sequence runs from Christ's return to the new earth without mentioning a millennium. This document does not carry Joby Martin's positions. He founded the church and leads it, which makes the confession close to him and not the same as him; a pass on Martin himself would have to come from his own preaching.
