We accept the Bible, including the 39 books of the Old Testament and the 27 books of the New Testament, as the written Word of God.
THE POSITION
The Protestant canon, given by counting rather than by naming: thirty-nine Old Testament books and twenty-seven New. The Apocrypha is not mentioned, and no argument is offered for the boundary — the number is the whole of the claim.
