Scripture alone is the final, only infallible authority

I know this sounds weird, but we don't care if it sounds weird if we got Bible verses for it.

THE POSITION

The Bible is the only infallible authority and the final authority. Tradition, creeds, and church history are legitimate and useful inputs but none is infallible. Explicitly distances this from the caricature that Scripture is the only authority of any kind.

CAVEAT

The quotation is the rule in operation rather than a statement of it: a chapter-and-verse warrant is treated as sufficient to override how a practice feels or looks. It comes from a verse-by-verse exposition of 2 Timothy 1:6-18, and the sermon hangs this point on the pattern-of-sound-words charge in 2 Timothy 1:13-14, now in refs above as a declared enrichment. Speaker cue — the sermon file is classed multi because Jana Howerton prays its last eighty seconds; this line is Josh, mid-teaching at 37:43, six minutes of continuous solo exposition before the handoff he announces at 38:11. The wider claim in the summary — that Scripture is the only infallible authority while tradition and creeds remain useful — rests on the Live Free material, which is unretained and multi-host.
